New Perspectives offers a range of valuable professional development opportunities for emerging artists across the East Midlands region.
This year we are delighted to offer two distinct projects, Haunts and A Fortunate Man.
The Haunts project is inspired by the legendary playwright David Rudkin'sPlaceprints - an epic cycle of ten audio plays set in locations
across the UK. Five writers will receive expert supervision from David
Rudkin himself and professional dramaturg William Drew as well as one-to-one
mentoring and workshops with other industry experts.
A further 13 artists from a variety of disciplines including writing, performance, photography and design have also been chosen to create a new multi-media piece about general practice in the NHS to mark the 50th anniversary of John Berger's book, A Fortunate Man - The Story of a Country Doctor.
Please see the below links for more details of each project.
