Thibault Delferiere on his UK collaboration:
"For me, as a performer, I'm used to work alone. The support of Giuseppe with his music prepares me for open movement. Sometimes I am involved in dance and it would be impossible the music of Giuseppe. Concerning Jack, he gives an external sight, I never have"
Giuseppe Lomeo on what he has learned from the project:
"There's always things that I guess each one of us learns from a new project, a new performance. I think you know I've treasured the feedback that I've received from Jack and Thibault and finding the right balance has been incredibly easy, it could have been much more challenging and difficult and it wasn't it was very natural and everything grew very organically"
Jack McNamara on creating the piece:
"I think what this experience has done for me has reminded me that your starting point is very simple things, having the courage in a way to work with objects with simple materials. So I think for me, even working with a narrative text in the future it will be really exciting to just begin with a block of wood, the way we started this project. That takes quite a lot of courage and quite a lot of imagination. So for me I think there's a real lesson in trusting really basic elements and the beauty of of object really and the beauty of simplicity.
We spent the entire week working with wood and rock which is not what more rehearsal rooms do - that's the presence that Thibault brings to the work he does
